Saint Valentine

One of Isaac's entries into the art show...

Sadly...

...your humble host was not able to manage a camera during the gala art show. You'll just have to accept on faith that it was a success - just about every piece sold, and we raised over $300 for Culture of Life Family Services. What I was able to do was snap a few shots before the sun set at the crowds arrived. It's only a taste, but it's something. Thanks to all who helped make it happen, and to all the artists who contributed.

First Post - Brother Mark's Present to the California Lickonas

My brother painted this sign for me for Christmas. "Christ conquers, Christ rules, Christ commands." I've read that it's the inscription on the obelisk in the plaza outside St. Peter's. Mark created the font himself. I do believe his first job was in a sign shop - though I rather doubt they let him actually put brush to wood. There are rumors that he's thinking of trying to sell these things - he's got plenty of nice boardwood at Red Rose Farm. I imagine he would be open to other inscriptions...
